It’s almost Independence Day, which means it’s almost time for food, family, friends, and fireworks! Whether you’re a Hilton Head Island native or a visitor who just happens to be here for our nation’s birthday, you may wonder where the best celebrations will take place. Fortunately, we’ve been around Hilton Head for years, so we know the top spots for the best Fourth!

Firecracker 5K

Want to get active early on the Fourth? Registration is open until tomorrow at noon for the Firecracker 5K! Run/Walk for a $35 entry fee, and get the kids involved for $32. The Fun Run is only $12. All the action starts at 8 am on July 4th, so start stretching now!

July 4thParade

Don’t miss the annual parade, filled with red, white, and blue! You can still register to join in the fun, or just line the streets to watch and cheer along. The parade starts at Harbour Town Lighthouse, so be sure you’re there before 9:30 am to get a good spot! Stick around after for more kid-friendly fun.

July 4thSummer Jams

Shelter Cove Community Park will start the fun around 5 pm, with music, food, and bounce houses for the kids. The whole family can also enjoy face painting before the fireworks kick off at 9 pm. Just remember to bring your own chair.

HarbourFest 4thof July Firework Show

Head over to Shelter Cove Marina for a special patriotic family show, food, fun, face painting, and fireworks! Kids will also enjoy Cappy the Clown, bounce houses, and train rides. Fireworks start around 9 pm.
