Whether you’re already here, or just thinking about visiting- you’re probably looking for things that you can do that are outside the “norm” here on HHI.  After all, Hilton Head does have beautiful beaches for days, and there is plenty of majestic scenery to go see, maybe you have a pool at your hotel…  But nothing beats a Hilton Head specific experience that you’ll get on no other island!

A Few Things You Might Not Have Known About Hilton Head

Nightly Music!

Firstly, if you didn’t know, there’s music just about every day somewhere on the island!  Gregg Russell performs a nightly show at Sea Pines Resort, for children and adults alike.  He’s been performing great music for more than 30 years, “for the youngest, and the youngest at heart”.  Learn more about Gregg on his website. There are also nightly options at the Salty Dog Cafe. Wanna know what’s playing?  Just check out their live music feed on the site!

Tennis, Art Shows, and Happy Hours

Tennis lessons are happening daily for folks looking to keep in shape even on vacay.  Led by former number one player in the world, and USTA director of coaching, Stan Smith, at Sea Pines Resort.  There are art shows to visit at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn.  And don’t forget about that daily Happy Hour at the Crazy Crab overlooking Jarvis Creek.

Tours and Scenery

From touring Historic Fort Mitchel, to “Reconstructing Mitchelville For The 150th Anniversary Of The Juneteenth Celebration!” on June 20th, there are plenty of things to see and do on the island.  Looking for something specifically for the kids?  How about “Imagination Hour at the Sandbox”? They do have a Parents’ Night out on Wednesdays and Thursdays as well.  Dolphin and Nature Cruises, sailing, kayaking along the salty marshes on Broad Creek…  Do something different on Hilton Head Island!

Local Digs

Bluffton, South Carolina is a town just off island, takes minutes to get there from HHI. It’s a really cool place, the whole downtown Bluffton area is really up and coming.  Shopping, dining, art galleries, and live events such as the local Farmer’s Market.  A small personal recommendation, we just ate at The Bluffton Room last week, and had a delicious time!  It definitely has that classic dinner party feeling.

We have more to do here than meets the eye! But hey, if all you’re looking for is a beach to sleep on and a bike to ride, then we’re your ticket.  Just let us know how we can help, and don’t forget to ask us when you’re booking your rentals what’s going on, and how we can help you get around!
