Visiting a local park is top of anyone’s list on a nice day, so it’s a good thing that Hilton Head Island has so many beautiful parks to choose from. Grab those walking shoes or rent a bike and pack a picnic because you’ll want to spend the whole reveling in nature.

Jarvis Creek Park

This 53-acre park has all sorts of amenities, such as a large pond with a fishing pier, open fields, a playground, and there’s a 1.1-mile pathway that extends all over the park and around the lake. Other paths extend into the wooded areas and are ideal for running and jogging.

Shelter Cove Community Park

Walk along the paths at this park and take in the breathtaking views of Broad Creek or the dazzling display of public art. There’s plenty of seating around, too, for when you get tired and perfect picnic spots while watching the kids play on the playground. You might even wind up catching a festival while you’re there, as they host events year-round!

Compass Rose Park

This is one of Hilton Head’s newer parks. If the beauty of the surroundings doesn’t catch your eye, then the exhibits of public art will! Within the park are four impressive and serene water features and scattered pavilions that engage you in the history of everyone’s favorite island!

Greens Shell Park

This park is on the smaller side, but with plenty of shade by the towering trees surrounding it. The park boasts amenities like pavilions, basketball courts, and two playgrounds. Nearby attractions are the Amelia White Cemetery and an archaeological site, the Green Shell Mound.

There you have it! These quality Hilton Head parks are a breath of fresh air. Whether you’re taking a stroll, pedaling a bicycle, or just generally enjoying the great outdoors…any of these locations will be the ideal spot. We hope that you “park” it here at Hilton Head Island soon! Don’t delay; book today!
