July is a warm and exciting month here on the island. The fireworks don’t stop at the 4th, we have fireworks all season and we also have a lot of events to look forward to all the time! We wanted to draw your attention today to a couple that might interest our customers today, and later on in the month when there will be a great big celebration we can all enjoy.
Historic Bike Tours, July 18
We have a number of fun tours on the island that you can and should check out including the Historic Ft. Mitchel Tour and the Zion Living History Tours. But the one we wanted to draw focus to today is the Historic Bike Tour, care of the Heritage Library History & Ancestry Research Center. It starts at the Squire Pope Community Park and ride for 2.8 miles covering some of the rich history of our island’s landmarks. Visit this site to find out more and print off a waiver that you’ll need to bring with you.
Sunset Celebration , Every Friday through Aug 17
This is a family friendly musical celebration on the waterfront every Friday night. Brought to you by the merchants of the Shelter Cover Towne Centre, this event features live music, laid back family entertainment and all you’ll need are some beach chairs or beach towels to pick out your favorite spot on the lawn. Grab a picnic dinner from a local merchant and you’re all set! Each event runs from 7 to 10pm and is free to the public. You’ll want to get there at the beginning, or even a little early to ensure your spot on the green. For more info and to see the lineup head over to the event website.
Enjoy your stay on the island and as always, book your rentals for those beach chairs, towels and of course reserve your bikes directly from our store, or by calling (843) 342-6673!
