A slight temperature drop is evident in October here on the island. That means Halloween is coming! Here are some fun events for locals and visitors who want to experience Halloween in Hilton Head. There’s everything from a pumpkin patch to bounce houses, food, games, music, and a Halloween costume contest for the kids!
Halloween on the Harbour
This year, Sea Pines celebrates Halloween on the Harbour on October 29th with ghoulish games, activities, a bounce house, and trick-or-treating. They invite you to display your fabulous costume with the Liberty Oak Stage fashion show. It starts at 2.30 pm and will be fun for all ages.
Island Rec Center Pumpkin Patch
A fun and free event for the whole family is the Island Rec Center Pumpkin Patch on October 20th from 4 pm to 7 pm. There will be free bounce houses, pumpkins, and games for everyone! If you pay $5, you can take a hayride out to the range to shoot a quiver of 20 arrows!
Coligny Halloween
On October 26th, you can bring the family out to trick-or-treat at the shops and restaurants in Coligny from 4 pm to 7 pm for their Halloween celebrations. They’re even having a costume contest where you could win up to $100 in gift cards! After the fun settles down, you can stick around one of the restaurants for dinner.
Trick or Treat Trail
From 6 pm until 8:30 pm on October 20th, Providence Presbyterian Church is hosting a free Trick or Treat Trail. In addition to tons of candy, there will be movies, a maze, face painting, bonfires, a hayride, and plenty of hotdogs and hamburgers for the whole community!
Costumes on the Woof
For those who consider their dogs to be just as much a part of their family as their human children, we found a great way to include them in the Halloween season. At 5 pm on October 28th, head to Savannah’s Waterfront for Costumes on the Woof at Electric Moon. You and your canine companion will have your costumes judged on creativity and originality for your shot at special prizes!
