It’s that time of year again! We have the lowdown on lowcountry happenings for this time of year, from a more local perspective. There is plenty for young and old, so no matter what your preference, you’ll be sure to have a great time during your stay and plenty to Instagram for the friends and family back home!
At Shelter Cove until December 30 there will be skating, horse and carriage rides, face painting, caricatures, silent disco parties and of course, Mr. and Mrs. Clause will be making some appearances. This is a good time to come see and mingle with the kids and families, whether you’re carting around your own or spectating. It’s a beautiful site, and there are going to be some serious photo ops. For those with less children on their vacation plan, day drink, play tennis, play golf, bike and stay at a nicer hotel to boot. All with less busy traffic and more space to stretch out. It’s a great time of year to be here! And our reservations slow down for rentals as well, so it’s the perfect opportunity to try the tandem bike or the adult tricycle! Both are a lot of fun.
The winter season is mild here. Averaging at 60 degrees and with far less crowded beaches and easier spa appointments to make, it may very well be the best time of year to visit! Several restaurants that won’t take reservations in the summer will take them in the winter. Not to mention, all the surrounding areas are far less crowded in the winter months as well, so it’s a great time to stay in Hilton Head and visit Bluffton, Savannah, and many of the other little towns in our little lowcountry that you otherwise would be strapped to find time for.
Come visit, you’ll love it in the wintertime. And if you sign up to be part of the VCR Family we’ll give you 10% off all rentals for your stay!
