One of the most popular stops on the PGA Tour is right here on Hilton Head Island. If you’re planning to catch some of the golfing action, you may appreciate some of these tips. Even if you’ve been to Hilton Head before—or even to the RBC Heritage—you can always learn something new.

How to Get Tickets

For just a few more days, you can order your tickets online or by phone at 843-671-2448. On April 8, they won’t be available by phone or online purchase anymore, but don’t worry. You’ll still be able to pick them up at the Will Call trailer in the Harbour Town Golf Links parking lot. Until April 14, you can also pick up tickets at the Bluffton Chamber of Commerce Hilton Head location.

Easy Travel

Getting around on the island is easy, especially if you have a bicycle. There are bike trails throughout the island, and you can also use them to get around the course when you’re playing. When you don’t have to fight the traffic, you can be first to the tee.

Skip the Crowds

If you’re interested in watching the pros play but not in fighting the crowds, you can watch the practice rounds on April 10 and 11. Be early if you want to watch them on the 10th but the fun happens all day on the 11th.

Bring the Family

The RBC Heritage isn’t just for adults. Even if the kids aren’t as interested in the main event as you are, there is still plenty for them to do. Kids under age 15 can putt with the pros at Harbour Town Golf Links in a putting contest on April 11. Get signed up at the tent next to the clubhouse and then show up by 3 pm to play.

You can also catch the family movie at 4:30 pm on the Heritage Lawn. Be sure to bring a blanket or your own chairs, though!

Where to Dine

With the whole family in tow, finding a restaurant that pleases everyone can be difficult. Skull Creek Boathouse is a fun choice, with water views and delicious seafood. The Crazy Crab is another visitor favorite, with its nautical theme and patio seating.

If you’re looking for something a little cozier for couples, Sage Room is a great option, with its eclectic menu. Red Fish is also a popular spot for romantic outings. What better way to wind down after a long day on the course?
