Kids of all ages are headed to Hilton Head Island for their Spring Break this time of year, and it’s for good reason.  There are things for all family members to do, to see, and to be a part of.  Hilton Head is more than a vacation, it’s a culture all its own.

For Kids

The number one amenity we can offer to keep the kids busy while on the break, is the beach.  After a while, as with anything, it might be a struggle to keep the little tykes interested in the sand, so you might soon be looking for more to do!  While you’re looking around, we suggest looking into The Sandbox, which is a highly interactive museum for kids to come play, and learn.   Also popular on the island is Adventure Cove, a 36 hole mini-golf course and a video arcade. Don’t forget your local petting zoo and pony rides for the wide-eyed young ones.  The Coastal Discovery Museum is always popular with kids, but they also provide engaging activities for all ages.

For All Ages

Beyond the above mentioned, Coastal Discovery Museum, you may want to look into Gregg Russell’s Family Concerts.  A long running island tradition, Gregg has been writing and performing music for over 30 years.  For the more adventurous, you may book a trip to Aerial Adventure Hilton Head, where you will be challenged by a 2 hour rope course that will take you to new heights.  The Art League Academy provides classes for the artists in the group.  Another good idea for the family is an adventure tour through the marshes, out in the ocean, or through the island wild.  Hilton Head Water Sports, Captain Mark’s Dolphin Cruises, and Outside Hilton Head are a few good resources for families looking for more to do as a group.

For Adults

Maybe you want to get away from the kids, need something to do while they’re out with the grandparents, or it’s just you and your significant other here for the break. There’s plenty to do that is more centered around libations, live shows, or general relaxation that’s for the adults on the island.  Looking for drinks? The most comprehensive Happy Hour schedule we’ve found is right here.  Looking for shows? Check out the event calendar on our very own hiltonheadisland.org.  If you’re like us, rest and relaxation is a key to any vacation, especially when you’re on an island.   Our newest spa is Arum Spa at Sonesta, which provides an extremely relaxing environment and array of treatments.  Faces Day Spa is a Hilton Head staple that also has great service offerings.  Another good place to consider, as it’s our first “green spa” on the island is AHH Green Spa, offering many of the same services using organic, fair trade, and vegan products.

Whatever you decide to do while you’re here, browse our vacation rental items for your place to place travel needs (bikes), beach accessories, or any other things you might need to make your stay more comfortable. We offer an array of items you may need for all ages of individuals.
