No matter what you’re craving for breakfast, there is no shortage of Hilton Head breakfast spots to grab pancakes, bacon & eggs, smoked salmon, or a “bad biscuit.” Here are eight of the best breakfast restaurants on Hilton Head Island for you and the whole gang to enjoy!

Palmetto Bay Sunrise Café

Palmetto Bay Sunrise Cafe is a hugely popular restaurant serving mouthwatering breakfast plates all day. We love their enormous banana rum pancakes that come with your choice of bacon or sausage. A Lowcountry twist on an old favorite is their crab cake eggs benedict. Since they offer both indoor and outdoor seating, the Sunrise Cafe at Palmetto Bay is an idyllic place to spend a morning.

Stack’s Pancakes

Established in 2004, Stacks was opened to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for guests and associates while offering high-quality food in generous portions. They strive to satisfy guests and create new friends in Hilton Head from around the country. Be sure to try their fresh-made signature items like the Crème Brule French Toast and Fresh fruit crepes that have become local favorites. They also make traditional and regional variations of their omelets and Eggs Benedict, both are customer favorites.

Bad Biscuit

Bad Biscuit’s claim to fame is that they serve Lowcountry & Southern fare with a rebellious twist. They serve breakfast all day because they love all-day breakfast options, and why not? Their biscuits are Bad to The Bone! Fresh biscuits, toppings, brunch bowls, and other Southern plates are served in a laid-back nook with eclectic decor. They’re open every day serving freshly baked biscuits because any type of creamy sauce, crispy bacon, marinated shrimp, or moonshine jelly is always better on a biscuit.

Southern Coney & Breakfast

Southern Coney & Breakfast is a delightful small restaurant offering incredibly delicious food. A must-try is their signature dish, the “Kitchen Sink”, which consists of fried chicken, eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon, sausage gravy, tater tots, a biscuit, and coffee. With speedy service and affordable prices, there’s plenty to love about Southern Coney.

Java Burrito Co.

Opened in 2013, Java Burrito Co. is Hilton Head’s only combined Mexican grill and coffee bar. The restaurant rapidly gained a dedicated customer base due to its unique breakfast burrito bar. With options like eggs, potatoes, chicken, steak, pork, local fish, bacon, queso, and more, their burritos are a must-try during your visit. In addition to the delectable burritos, guests can savor gourmet coffee made with locally roasted beans and organic milk.

Kenny B’s French Quarter Café

Established in 1999, Kenny B’s French Quarter Cafe brings a taste of New Orleans to Hilton Head! Among the most popular breakfast offerings are the authentic beignets, breakfast po’ boy sandwich, Cajun andouille sausage, and the delectable French Quarter cinnamon French toast. Kenny B’s serves breakfast from Tuesday to Saturday and hosts an amazing brunch buffet on Sundays. Guests can enjoy all their New Orleans favorites in a lively and laid-back atmosphere. It’s a true Mom and Pop restaurant, where owner Ken prepares delicious dishes in the kitchen while Lavern attends to guests at the front of the house.

Watusi

If they were giving out awards for “Best Breakfast in Hilton Head,” Watusi would be a strong contender. This hidden gem is a must-try with its scratch-made breakfast fare and a menu that includes potato pancake eggs benedict, breakfast sandwiches, cinnamon vanilla French toast, and the two egg scramblers. Be sure to try their Batdorf & Bronson coffee or a delicious homemade smoothie.

Gruby’s New York Deli

If you want Empire State classics like Kaiser roll breakfast sandwiches, bagels and lox, corned beef or pastrami omelets, and potato pancakes Gruby’s is where it’s at. This authentic New York deli makes one mean breakfast, and every guest enjoys generous portions, so be sure to come hungry!
