July is very popular month on the island, so it’s helpful to have a few destinations in mind to help get from one activity to the next!  We thought we’d put together a short list of a few things that can be helpful for your stay here on HHI for adults and families.

Dining

Let’s start with a few bear necessities.

auntchiladasAunt Chilada’s: They’re not your everyday Mexican, as they do serve seafood, steaks, and American fare like some other Hilton Head hot spots.  But the chips and salsa flow, and the Tex-Mex, and traditional Mexican offerings are great if you’re looking for something a little different! Call in to place an order to go and through it in your bike basket to head to the beach!

backwaterbillsBackwater Bill’s Grill: This inviting “fishing lodge” like scene provides fantastic selections for lunch and dinner to the southern seafood seeker.  Good for the food, the company, and if you’re in need, it’s a great place for a night cap!

blufftonbbqBluffton BBQ: Do you like BBQ?  Or do you love BBQ?  This place makes a lover out of just about everyone that visits.  This is not fast food; the meat here is slow cooked for 12 hours before serving.  Notably, they serve until the food runs out, and then there’s always beer.

Shopping

Shelter Cove Towne Centre: This is a walking village overlooking Broad Creek.  From your basic amenities (Kroger, GNC) to some more specific needs (AT&T, Belk, Woody’s Sunglass Hut) even ranging into the more unique, boutique outlets and specialty stores, this Towne Centre can likely fill all your needs.

Shelter Cove Harbour Shops & Restaurants: Offering a more eclectic brand of shops, and some novelty stores, this little shopping center should absolutely be on your list of places to stop at some point on your island stay!

Coligny at the Beach: This is Hilton Head’s primary “downtown”.  Shops, food, and nightlife all come together to form a destination that can fill pretty much all your bear necessity needs, followed by a happy hour, or dinner, or squashed into a popular beach spot for people watching.

Family Fun

Family Ski Day: Take the kids out on the water with an experienced guide and licensed captain!  Learn how to water ski, kneeboard, wakeboard, or tube behind a boat!  This offering is for all skill levels, no experience is required.

Pontoon Boat Rentals: Looking to relax on the water with family or friends?  You might like to just rent a pontoon for yourself, and get out on the water at your own pace.  These boats are great for small or mid-sized parties, and very easy to drive.

Helicopter Tours: Looking for something a little more unique for the kids to remember?  Or just have date with the misses that you want her to tell all her friends about? The rates are affordable, and the view is to die for.
