Christmas is around the corner, believe it or not, here in Hilton Head, we’ve been getting ready. If you are new to the area or just visiting, we can help your family feel right at home during this exciting holiday season. Here is a selection of holiday happenings on Hilton Head for the kids, for yourself, or for the whole family!
Maybe you’re in town early, but hoping to get the Christmas spirit revved up in your family for a big celebration when you get home. A great tradition that shouldn’t be missed is a visit to see the Nutcracker. Come to the Seahawk Cultural Center for an evening show at 7:30 pm on Nov. 15, 16, 22, or 23. Or come for a matinee Nov. 17 or 24 at 2:30 pm.
Santa officially comes to Hilton Head on the day after Thanksgiving to see the Harbour Town Lights. Before a concert by Gregg Russel, the town will hold an official Christmas tree lighting at 7:30 pm.
If your children are wondering if Santa can find you even when you are vacationing in Hilton Head, you can reassure them by having breakfast with the big man in nearby Ridgeland. Come for a story, pictures, and crafts on Dec. 14 from 9 am – 10:30 am. It’s a great reminder to stay on the nice list this season.
If your Christmas isn’t complete without a reminder of the real reason for the season, you are invited to spend a part of your Christmas Eve with All Saints Episcopal Church. Kids and adults alike are welcome to worship with us from 5 – 6 pm on Dec. 24.
Don’t be sad if you can’t be home for the holidays. We can make your stay in Hilton Head feel just like home. So, snuggle up with your favorite movie, hang your stocking, book your bike, and plan your activities. After all, Santa will be watching.
