Ah, vacation. We all need it. But there are parts of our routines we miss while we’re relaxing on the beach or by the pool. When you have a workout routine you love, losing that routine while you’re on vacation can be the pits. You want to be sure you don’t lose your progress or fall out of your daily exercise habit. This is especially true with your yoga routine. You probably look forward to that tranquil, stretchy hour each day! Thankfully, you can find plenty of opportunities to keep it up on Hilton Head Island—and add a unique experience while you’re at it. Downward dog in the sand? Child’s pose while listening to the lapping waves? You got it!
What could be more energizing than looking out over the ocean in a peaceful or powerful yoga pose? You can find Beach Yoga classes on weekend mornings in front of the Tiki Hut. If you happen to be staying at the Beach House Resort, these classes are complimentary with your stay. Other visitors are welcome too, for a $15 class fee.
Island Yoga also offers yoga on the beach and can be individualized to your own level. These classes can be found throughout the day and week off William Hilton Parkway. Classes start at $20.
If you stay at or near the Marriott Resort and Spa, you might be inclined to head out to their beach for beach yoga by Hilton Head Wellness. They welcome all levels and ages and are available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for $15 per class.
Early risers can join in a class at Coligny Beach at 7:30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, care of Jiva Yoga Center. Jiva also offers in-studio classes throughout the week. Explore their schedule and choose your favorite for $20 per class.
No need to take a break from yoga just because you’re going on vacation! It may be the most peaceful time of your day, so don’t give it up. Your vacation is a great opportunity to experience yoga a whole new way.
