We talked about Hilton Head happy hours and the best places to find a great cocktail last month. For those looking for a fun way of trying the best Hilton Head wines, you’ve got plenty of options to do your exploring. Many of the opportunities you have for wine tastings are ongoing events, so you could be in luck the week you come down for vacation. However, if you want to plan a trip around an event, check out the one-time tasting events. Here are a few to check out.

Juke Joint Tour and Tasting

The best wine pairing here is the music. Explore the Soul of the South exhibit, led by the curator who will explain the significance of juke joint in the long-ago South. While you’re there, sample some moonshine straight from the Burnt Church Distillery and some tasty apps from Hawg Wild BBQ. The event takes place from 4pm-6pm on Saturday, June 4th at the Morris Center. Be sure to register by June 2nd.

Hilton Head Distillery Tour and Tasting

This is a daily event Tuesdays through Saturdays with four tours each day through June 3rd, each an hour-long: 12:30, 2:00, 3:30, and 5:00. Whether you’re curious to try the new Carolina Rum Cream or going back to try an old favorite, there’s no reason not to head over to Cardinal Road for a tasting tour.

Carolina Tasting Room

Stop in the Carolina Room while you’re at Coligny Plaza for an opportunity to wind down a little after the beach or shopping. You can sample more than fifty local wines or twelve local beers, all for a great price.

Bring your friends – you know it’s more fun with a group. Or find your favorite, and buy a bottle or two of Hilton Head wines to share at home. Just make sure to drink responsibly and have a designated driver if you’re away from home.
