The beaches may be starting to empty, but things certainly don’t slow down at Hilton Head in the fall. Fall is a beautiful time to come visit the island, as well as a great time to check out all the locals have to offer in festivals going on around town. Here’s a little sampling of a few of our favorite culinary fests.

Annual Italian Heritage Festival

Time to get your cibo on! Is there anyone who doesn’t love some authentic Italian pizza or a good cannoli? We didn’t think so. So, come on down to the Coastal Discovery Museum on Saturday, October 26th. Vendors will be out with all kinds of Italian culture for you to experience from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Get it while the pasta is hot!

Hilton Head Oyster Festival

Come on. We know why you really want to come to Hilton Head. It’s the oysters that we’re famous for. Here’s your chance, so don’t miss out! It starts Friday, November 8, and goes through Saturday the 9th. All you can eat oysters are just the beginning – you can also enjoy pulled pork, chowder, and chili. Live entertainment will keep you busy while you are enjoying your meals.

Low Country VegFest

Hilton Head truly has something for everyone. Even if seafood isn’t your thing, we’ve got something for you too! Make plans to be at Shelter Cove Community Park on October 19th between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm to enjoy the best in vegan food and beverage. This festival also features speakers, bands, and vendors. Activities for the kids will keep them busy so you can enjoy all there is to offer… at your own pace.

This is just a sample of what we have to offer at Hilton Head during the fall. You won’t lose out no matter what weekend you plan to be here, but be sure to make plans around your favorite event! And don’t forget to reserve your bicycle rental before you come so you can travel from fest to fest in style.
